Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory has begun the installation of its second class of ammonia-powered supercomputers, El Capitan. The system will be based on the upcoming AMD Instinctive MI300AAPU, the first data center APU to combine CPU and GPU cores with high-bandwidth memory in a single package.
